May commencement ceremony postponed

PASADENA, Texas — Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation in our region, San Jacinto College will postpone its May 15 commencement ceremony.

"This was a very difficult decision," said San Jacinto College Chancellor Dr. Brenda Hellyer. "We know that graduation is a time when our graduates and their families should celebrate their academic achievements. For me, this is my favorite part of my job, celebrating with students who have overcome much to get to this point. However, we have to keep the health and safety of all of our College community in mind. We are committed to finding the best solution possible for our graduates and their families once this the COVID-19 situation is over."
