The San Jacinto College Foundation awards millions of dollars in student scholarships each year. This is possible thanks to donors like you. These funds remove financial barriers for students, so they can stay enrolled, earn their degree, and reach their dreams.

Our impact

Our students come from diverse backgrounds from all over the world. What they all have in common is their passion for education and their drive to change their lives. When students have no other financial means to do this, the San Jac College Foundation is there to lend a hand. For some, we are their only opportunity to get an education — and that opportunity is never wasted.

Creating Generational Change

When our students can’t count on savings to help them pay for college, they turn to us.

I came to San Jac because there was a scholarship opportunity in music. I wouldn’t have been able to go if it wasn’t for that scholarship. My mom was a single parent, and we didn’t have money set aside for college.

5 Ways to Give

Your investment reflects a bold belief that access to higher education changes lives and betters our community. There are many ways you can give.
  1. Cash Gifts

From parents and friends to alumni and staff, our supporters are generous people like you. Even the smallest donation makes a big difference.

Cash donations are often combined to create opportunities for both students and faculty. Your gift funds scholarships, supports food security for students, and bolsters more efforts to ensure our students are fully supported throughout their educational journey.

You can make a one-time donation, or keep the gift alive with one of our recurring donation options.

  2. Scholarships

Named annual scholarships have an immediate impact on students. Establish this type of scholarship with a minimum gift of $3,000.

Endowed scholarships are awarded annually in perpetuity in honor of the donor. Establish an endowment scholarship with a minimum gift of $25,000.

Donors may designate scholarship criteria based on academic merit, financial need, and area of study.

Scholarships minimums are payable over a period of up to five years.

  3. Planned Giving

Donations designated in your will are a great way to make a gift without impacting your current finances and lifestyle. It also creates an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy.

Simple charitable bequests and other gifts like annuities, trusts and IRA rollovers can provide significant tax savings to you.

  4. Memorial Gifts

Has there been a person in your life who inspired you, valued education, or embodied the San Jac values? Recognize this special person and empower others with a memorial or tribute gift.

  5. Gifts From Stock

Making a gift of stocks, bonds, mutual funds and other financial assets offers you the chance to support our work while realizing important benefits for yourself.
